Well, we departed on what I’m calling “The Great Road Trip of 2012” yesterday morning. First stop: Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia. I had been here years ago, but honestly don’t remember much. I loved this place! Situated between West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland, it is a very old town right on the Shenandoah River. Famous for John Brown’s raid, the town is rich in history. I loved exploring the old homes and shops and spending time relaxing by the river. Next time, I am bringing my swim suit and an inner tube!

This was a great side trip for the day. On to Vermont! I want some cheese and maple syrup…
