Hitting the Bourbon Trail: Makers Mark

As part of our Spring Break, Clint and I made our way from Nashville to Elizatbethtown, Kentucky to stay with my family. There are great things to do in the area, but we settled on some bourbon! We headed out through the countryside to Loretto, Kentucky to visit the Makers Mark Distillery.

They offered a great tour that included tastings, a trip through the warehouse where the bourbon was being aged, and an up-close look at the stills. Although I’m not huge on drinking bourbon, we had a great time exploring the grounds.

One of the best parts was getting to dip our own bottle of Makers! Very cool, indeed.
