A House Update… and an Episode of Redneck Ingenuity

The house is still there. Barely left standing! This old blue house has been torn down, beaten, jacked up, and ripped apart during the past five weeks. At this point, the entire sub-floor has been ripped up and about half of the floor joists have been replaced. The new sub-floor is partially down and my bathtub has been moved from the addition into the living room in preparation to move it into the bathroom.

Now for the real reason of this post – an incredible episode of pure redneck ingenuity that occurred today. Unfortunately, I wasn’t there to see it firsthand, but my Dad had the forethought to video it so we can watch over and over! Our neighbor and all-around handy person Gary needed to cut a high limb off of the huge oak that towers over our house. The guys wedged his ladder into the Bobcat claw and Clint lifted him, the ladder, and his running chainsaw into the tree to cut the limb. It sounds like something that would happen on Duck Dynasty. I just can’t make this stuff up!
