Just last weekend, there was a 12′ x 12′ hole in my “master bedroom”. I’m talking dirt, people! It’s unbelievable that a ton of hard work and some wood can make this construction project look like a house. The subfloor is totally installed and ALL of the walls are framed and ready for insulation. I can tell where the rooms I supposed to be, which is a huge deal.
The best part of this step is that we have more than doubled our closet space! We only started out with two closets in the entire house, and one of them was a spare bedroom closet that was tiny. We’ve added another bedroom closet in our room, a coat closet, and a linen closet in the bathroom. Hooray!
We are waiting for our electrician to finish re-wiring the house and the plumber is coming this week. After all of that, drywall will hopefully start turning this construction project into a home. There’s still a LONG way to go, but it’s safe to say we’re still smiling!
